George Nestor Lark is the eldest of the four Gees. He is described as handsome and angular and has similar characteristics as Gwen. He serves as a guide and caretaker for his younger siblings during the competition and goes out of his way to ensure that they are well. At the end of the first book, George tries to protect his siblings from the knowledge that he will not be leaving Earth with them and his sacrifice motivates Gwen on her quest to compete in the Atlantis Grail to save her family.
